Hi Jenni! Your dogs are so cute!! I looked at your website and it's amazing - I really enjoyed reading your posts. I'd love to support you on your journey! Looks like you're off and running (as it were), and there's no doubt you'll be losing weight with your walking periods and food and water entries. Not as easy as it used to be for us 50's gals (what happened to the days when I could run two miles, skip a meal and lose 5 lbs.????), but we just gotta keep on keepin' on and we can make it happen! You can do it!

Help support me in my weight loss as close to 100 pounds lost as possible. At a young age of 52, I am faced with the reality that if I don't take care of myself and my health, then by February 2015, I will be out of a job, since my work is Federally regulated. Travel with me down this road. Thank you to all who join me as well.

APRIL
TIME TO BECOME ACCOUNTABLE FOR EVERYTHING
Here is my FitBit information so far
My sleep for the first night. This is pretty cool that it tells me how my sleep patterns are.

My Activity for April 2, 2014
I didn't record any food or water intake for April 2, 2014, so will catch up on that for the following days, though.

I am loving this exercise regimen. Never thought that I would enjoy exercise as much as I do now. So many great goals to look forward to. Today, while waiting for our trailer to get loaded and then getting the paperwork, I took advantage of the time and took a great stroll around the property. Loving my walks now.

I also did some sit ups. I am hoping that I can get up over 100 per day on them. I do 10 or 20 sit ups per set. I rest in between for a few seconds and then tackle the next set. I can sure feel it.

My walk around the truck stop. It gave us the idea to email some of the truck stops that we frequent. We have noticed that more and more of them are putting in fitness rooms for drivers to use indoors. How about during the nice weather days, an outdoor walking trail on the outer perimeter of the parking lots? Now how cool would that be?
I did 60 situps....I felt great afterwards, too. A bit sore, but felt great.

Highway 1 off of the 70 in Indiana. Plenty of truck parking available. After taking the dogs out, I looked around and scoped out a plan of attack for my walk. The best way to take advantage of this area was to just walk the entire outer perimeter of all the little parking lots around. What I didn't realize was how short the walk was. Next time...twice around at least!!!!
Do you know who Billy Blanks is? He does that aerobic workout as Kickboxing. One of the exercises that he does is an Abdominal Twist. You just crouch down a little, put your arms out in front of you and bend your arms up at the elbows to a 90 degree angle to your body. Then you just suck in your gut and twist. It gives you a full body workout for sure. Just another way to get some exercise.

We were home for a couple of days. Got a lot of work done, and boy was I pooped. I should have had my Map My Walk on. However, I did have my FitBit on all the time. That tracked quite a bit for me that day.
Not too bad for a day. I really did do a lot of walking just getting things done. Then I had to go get butter for dinner. I was dragging by then.

We are back on the road after a couple of days off. When we went to go get our load, we found out that they weren't loading trailers today. So, we went back to Harris Ranch off of the I-5 in California. That's when I decided that I wanted to go for a walk. I was scoping out the grounds and I love long perimeters to walk along. So I tackled it. Oh, and by the way, this time I brought my IPod so that I could listen to my tunes. Best thing I could have done. My one mile went by a lot quicker than I thought it would....and easier. So, I did it again. Two miles in the day. Not bad at all.
Then, just before bed, I couldn't help myself.... I had to do situps...78 of them to be exact.

Ha....I just figured out how to import my FitBit bracelet workouts to my MapMyWalk workouts. This is totally awesome. Now to really begin to rack up some steps, burn off some calories and get the workouts to count for me. Yep....I'm gonna shed these pounds and get rid of the "second" me.

I love my apps on my phone. They really help me out a lot in my exercises. Like my situps. I did 3 sets of 39. Yep, 117 of those puppies. I know that I will feel that workout for sure.
