HOURS WALKED -- 145.48
CALORIES BURNED -- 38,560

Well, I definitely beat March by a whole bunch, however, I am a bit depressed.  I did my weigh in and it showed that I had only lost 1 pound.  So, next month I will make myself accountable for all of my calorie intake as well.  I will try to workout more than my intake to burn it off.

MOVING IN TO APRIL - 2ND MONTH TO 100

Month #2 on my Road to 100!!!!

This month until April 20th, I will try to do better....walk more....drink more water....eat better foods!

A nice evening walk at the customer in Yuma, Arizona.  It was a breezy 66 degrees out.
March 25, 2014

Stopped at a rest area on Interstate 17 in Arizona.  Took the mandatory 30 minute DOT break there and took advantage of it by walking after taking the dogs out.
March 26, 2014

Illinois rest area.  It was huge, so I walked the outer perimeter.

March 28, 2014
Before bedtime, I did 40 sit-ups, 15 squats and about 15 minutes of stretches with the bands. This morning I am feeling it. My whole body aches. Time for some Aleve to ALEVEate this pain.

Took advantage of the remainder of my break to take a quick walk.
March 29, 2014

What a great way to end the month of March.  A three mile walk with some friends from work.  They have a walk about 3 times a week just to get people out and about and exercising.  I love it.
March 31, 2014

I have a new personal training device.  It is called a Fit Bit
It is pretty cool so far.  I wear it on my wrist and it records all my steps, movement, calories burned, even my sleep patterns.  What a great thing.  Looking forward to using this in conjunction with the "MapMyWalk" program.

This reminds me of a TV show that I watched recently.  It is called, "My 600 pound life."  Anyone ever see that show?  At first, you ask yourself, "How does a person get to be that big?"  Then you ask yourself, "How does that person work to lose it?"

Ah, that is the interesting part.  The show is really sad at first, but what an inspiration.  This one gal wanted to lose the weight.  Her boyfriend had passed away because he was overweight and the doctors told her that she was not far behind if she didn't lose her weight.  She was faced with her children becoming wards of the court if she passes.

That was enough for her to start working on her health and quit giving in to food being her "Happy Place."

She went to the doctor and he told her what she needed to do.  She left and was faced with a tough and hard first month.  She wanted to have the gastric bypass surgery, but she had to show her interest and willingness to get the surgery by losing weight first.

After her first month of dealing with the thoughts of her children not having their Mom, the fact that they had already lost their Dad and that she found food to make her happy, she went back to the doctors for her weigh-in.  She stepped on the scale....the TV audience waited...the look on her face was astonishment.  Did she lose some weight?

No, in fact, she had gained weight.  A total of a 19 pound weight gain.
How devastating that must have felt.

But, she didn't give up!!!!!

She kept on her regimen.
She changed her eating habits.
She walked more.
She joined a gym.
She began drinking more water.
By 6 months she had lost over 100 pounds.

What an inspiration!  I wish that I could have followed her more.  So, instead, I am making my own story here.  I may not need to lose several hundred pounds, but I need to lose close to 100.  I want to be healthier.

Please help me by being my inspiration, okay?

APRIL WEIGH-IN
APRIL 20, 2014

TOTAL DISSAPPOINTMENT!!!!!  TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!

I weighed in...feeling pretty good about myself, but at the same time thinking that I was in for a not too high number in the losers category.

I was right.  One pound....one meesley little pound.  That's all I lost.  After all that work, that's all I've lost.

Well, does that mean I quit?  Nope!!!
Means I work harder!!!

Means I become accountable for not only the workouts that I do, but I also keep track of the food I eat.

May will be a better month.  New eating habits....new ideas....new ME!!!!

MARCH - 1st month towards 100

All of my walking is being tracked by "Map My Walk."  An app you can download to your phone and track your progress as well.

****MARCH MADNESS****
I AM GOING TO MARCH MY WAY THIS MONTH TO A NEW BEGINNING!!!

My weigh in for the first time on this journey is 237 pounds.  I stand 5'6".  I need to unpack some of my extra weight and get back in to shape for sure.  So, here you can go on with my on my journey to lose weight and get in to shape.

Back in my younger years, I used to model and do fashion shows.  I was once a cheerleader mascot.  I also enjoyed doing gymnastics and cross-country running.  Those were my younger years.

Now that I'm older and slower and dragging a little, I need to pick up my pace again and get some of that younger spunk back in my old bones.

LET'S GET WALKING!!!
LET'S GET HEALTHY!!
LET'S GET BACK TO LOVING
YOU!!!

This is a walk in our RV park. Walked the perimeter twice.  Very nice walk.  This began my journey to lose as close to 100 pounds by February 2015.
